Library Workshop Review: Automata

A huge thank you to all the wonderful children and families who joined us for our latest workshop at the Albany Village Library! We had an absolute blast stepping into the world of mechanical engineering to create wooden automata toys together.

While the glue took longer than expected to dry, we turned this into an opportunity for learning and creativity. Our young makers used this time to learn and plan their next steps, develop storytelling ideas, and learn more about the mechanical principles behind their toys. We were impressed by everyone's adaptability and positive attitude! And fortunately, we prepared another type of glue which worked faster, making the progress smoother later.

We were impressed to see the creativity and enthusiasm of the children as they crafted their unique automata toys. Each piece was a testament to their imagination and hard work, and we are incredibly proud of what they accomplished.

We hope that everyone enjoyed the workshop as much as we did and that the children left with a sense of pride in their creations. We look forward to seeing you all again at our future events.
