Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father’s Day from the KoruSTEM family to yours!

Father’s Day is a special time to honour and celebrate the important role that fathers—and father-like figures—play in our lives. It’s a day to express gratitude for their love, support, guidance, and the countless sacrifices they make for their families.

It’s also a chance to recognise the many STEM skills and knowledge that fathers quietly pass down through everyday moments—often without us even realising it. From teaching us how to ride a bike, climb trees, or make kites, to fixing a leaky tap, assembling flat-pack furniture, or repairing household appliances, fathers and role models are often our very first STEM mentors.  Even simple activities, like calculating how many kilometres are left on a road trip, become hidden lessons in problem-solving, design, structural thinking, and mathematics—all applied to everyday life.

This Father’s Day, we celebrate and thank the dads, father figures, and mentors who inspire curiosity, creativity, and resilience in the next generation.
